Introduction
Enviro Matrix Inc. (EM) provides professional environmental engineering and consulting services to clients in real estate, industry, development and government.
Within the breadth of environmental engineering, Enviro Matrix specializes in the skill-set required for Brownfield Sites and facility assessment, decontamination and demolition.
Necessarily, this includes:
- due diligence (Phase I, II ESA and BEAs)
- asbestos, lead and mold assessment and abatement
- decontamination and demolition specification writing (for both renovations and demolition)
- contractor management and oversight
- underground storage tank removal, remediation and closure
- Brownfield redevelopment processes
Our senior staff all retain Professional Engineer credentials, which translates into Professional consulting on every project for every client.
The Philosophy of Engineering Excellence

Staff Introduction
In 1992, Kirit T. Ravani, P.E., CHMM, Enviro Matrix, Inc.’s president and founder, formed a vision and philosophy of “Engineering Excellence.” The first step to realizing this vision is people: Ravani began assembling a staff of experts in all arenas of environmental engineering to facilitate expedited assessments and economic solutions to complex environmental problems and site closures.
As Principal, Mr. Ravani brings experience as a Professional Engineer in Detroit since 1973, where he has developed specializations in groundwater/soil remediation, Brownfield site redevelopment, large industrial plant closure and decontamination.
The first employee of EM, Mr. Bruce D. Hassen, P.E., CHMM has 30 years experience in wastewater treatment plant design and operations, facility assessments, Phase I and II site assessments and regulations.
EM’s staff has grown from Mr. Ravani and Mr. Hassen to include:
- Environmental Scientist Bridget Rohn, a MSU graduate with an experienced scientific background
- Dr. Suresh Inakollu works on EM’s engineering and decontamination oversight team
- Jenna Moritz provides EM’s edge to communicating environmental solutions to clients and the community by writing and editing Enviro Matrix, Inc.’s written materials.
EM also employs two field technicians who work closely with our engineers.
